Mom had a really great day today. A nurse came to check on her and change her bandages from her surgery this afternoon. She has been walking around the house - and even outside! She isn't lightning fast, but she can keep a pretty good pace for just getting out on Friday. She had a hamburger and vegetables tonight, without seasoning, since she cannot have sodium. She said it was still very good and she was glad to be able to have it. She took a nap this afternoon to catch up on sleep, and of course Bandit was by her side the entire time. She hasn't stopped smiling since Friday night. We both know very well now to NEVER take things for granted. Your mom washing your clothes and cooking you dinner is not something to be taken for granted. People need to realize that they need to be thankful for what their mom does do for them, and that she isn't your maid. Never again will I take the simplest things in life for granted, like waking up for school or packing my lunch. Nothing can break the bond between my mom and I. She continues to make great progress every day. Thank you for all of your prayers.
